The South Korean Government scholarship is fully open and accepting applications from international students for the next academic year (2023). It is a fully funded scholarship sponsored by the Korean Government to accept international students who want to pursue undergraduate degrees in South Korea.
The South Korean Government scholarships are open to all world countries students who are interested in studying in South Korea for the period of undergraduate program years through its government’s global scholarship program. You can also study and complete an Associate’s degree and undergraduate degree program.
Global Scholarships of the South Korean government offers a tuition-free scholarship in South Korea for international students. The scholarships cover all the expenses by its Government for foreign students irrespective of nationality or culture.

The South Korean Government scholarships benefits include the tuition-free, insurance for medical, and language courses cost, living costs, research support, resettlement allowance, tickets for round airfare, as well as an award for excellent Korean Language Proficiency
The South Korean Government scholarships are offered to students in any field of study at universities partnered with the government. Note that, any academic program running through the below times/platforms is not available on scholarships:
- online and distant learning programs
- Programs taught in the evenings (night school)
- short-term programs
Eligibility Criteria for South Korean Government Scholarships
Below are the eligibility criteria for the scholarships. Anyone who doesn’t meet the requirements does not qualify for the scholarship:
- Applicants or parents who are Korean citizen is ineligible
- Any applicants who hold dual citizenship of which one of the two is Korean citizenship are also ineligible for the scholarship. If you hold it, do not apply
- To apply for an undergraduate program, you must hold a high school diploma or equivalent or from an associate degree program
- The associate degree is open to the high school certificate holder or a person who is expecting to graduate from high soon in a short period of time and must submit his/her certificate of expected graduation when applying and make the graduation certificate available if he/she succeeds at the final round
- Any student above 25 years of age is ineligible for the application
- The applicant must hold a certificate with CGPA equal to or above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0
